1) Purchasing CONTACT LENSES
If you’re running out of lenses or your prescription is about to expire please call 214-361-1300 between the hours of 10-2 or visit our contact lens web-store at http://yourlens.com/eyedoctordallas

2) EYEGLASS NEEDS:
Picking up glasses or inquiries on the status of your eyeglass order. If you’re picking up, when you arrive we will provide curbside service.

3) PURCHASING EYEGLASSES
If you have a prescription and are in urgent need to get a new or replacement pair of eyeglasses we can schedule an appointment for you to come to the office. We are limiting this service to one patient /customer at a time.

3) MEDICATION:
If you are running out of a medication please contact us and we can transmit a refill electronically to your pharmacy.

4) For emergent and urgent eye conditions, we will first try to triage your condition over the phone call and in situations that may require a visit to the office, do our best to see you.

Dr. Bob Consor, OD

Diplomate, American Board of Optometry

Dr. Consor is Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Optometry and certified by the Texas Board of Optometry in the detection and treatment of eye diseases, including prescribing medications and performing minor in office surgery. He is also credentialed and trained in the care of pre-operative and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients and affiliated with TLC Laser Centers.

Dr. Consor graduated with honors, Summa Cum laude from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, Eye Institute where he now serves as a member of the faculty as Assistant Adjunct Professor. He hosts and mentors in his Dallas office student externs from the college who are in their final year of study. Dr. Consor has co-managed thousands of eye surgery cases, inclusive of refractive surgery and is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

Dr. Jenifer Nguyen, OD

Dr. Nguyen grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and was awarded her doctorate in Optometry degree by the University of Houston, College of Optometry. She is certified by the Texas Board of Optometry as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is trained in the care of pre-operative and post-operative management of cataract and refractive surgery patients and performs minor in office eye surgery. Dr. Nguyen has received extensive training in the detection, management and prescribing medications in the treatment of ocular diseases.

She is a faculty member of the University of Houston, College of Optometry serving as an Assistant Adjunct Professor and hosts and mentors students in their final year of study. In addition to providing eye care to adults, her special interests are children’s vision and hard to fit contact lens patients. She is a member of optometric honor society Beta Sigma Kappa, American Optometric Association, and Texas Optometric Association. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Dr. Larry Taub, M.D.

Dr. Taub, graduated from Duke University in Durham, NC, and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He did his ophthalmology training at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia where he was honored to be Chief Resident in Ophthalmology. Following his residency, he joined the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor, and the first general Ophthalmologist on the staff.

During his tenure, he became the Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology at The Emory Clinic, and the head of Ophthalmology at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta.In addition to general Ophthalmology he specializes in cataract surgery and Laser vision corrective surgery.

Dr. Gordon Newman, M.D.

Dr. Newman Graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca New York and received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He did his internship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Newman also completed his Ophthalmology residence at the Ohio State University.

He is board certified as a Diplomat In Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also currently a Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at UT Medical School in Dallas, Texas. His specialties are cataract surgery and Laser vision surgery.

Dr. Claire Y. Chu, M.D.

Claire Y. Chu, M.D. obtained all her medical training right here in Texas. Dr. Chu received her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas for her ophthalmology residency. Dr. Chu is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. She joins Newman & Taub Vision Center after a successful practice in Greenville and Rockwall, Texas.
